Our Youth Board is a diverse group of motivated students who are passionate about leadership, service, and making a meaningful difference in their community.
Youth Board Members engage in leadership development, mentorship, and hands-on community service while gaining real-world experience that prepares them for future academic, professional, and civic success. Throughout the year, members work together to support local families and individuals in need through community events, donation drives, and an annual Youth-led Community Impact Project.
This is more than a volunteer opportunity, it’s a commitment to growth, service, and impact.
Position: Youth Board Member
Location: Corona, CA 92882
Term: August 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027
Time Commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours per week
As a Youth Board Member, you will:
Attend monthly meetings (3rd Friday of every month at 4:45 PM)
Actively participate in community events, programs, and service initiatives
Help plan and carry out a Youth-led Community Impact Project
Support efforts such as school-supply drives, holiday initiatives, and events serving families facing poverty or violence at home
Grow your leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through mentorship and hands-on experience
Applicants must:
Have completed 8th grade by June 2026
Be an incoming freshman, sophomore, or junior by Fall 2026
(New incoming seniors are not eligible to apply. Only returning Youth Board members may serve during their senior year.)
Be enrolled in a public, private, charter, or homeschool or reside within the jurisdictions of:
Corona, Norco, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Home Gardens, Temescal Valley, Coronita, or El Cerrito (or surrounding county areas)
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
Successful applicants demonstrate:
A willingness to learn, listen, and grow
A commitment to service and community impact
Alignment with the mission and values of Corona-Norco United Way
Reliability, curiosity, and a desire to be part of a team
No prior leadership experience is required, just a genuine interest in making a difference.
