GED Training Program
Corona-Norco United Way has accepted this challenge, by launching the GED Training Program in June 2011. The GED Training Program focuses on providing classroom style lectures, needs assessment, future academic planning and scholarships to adults in our community. The program, additionally, offers certified teachers in English and Spanish to individuals who are in need of obtaining the high school equivalent diploma. The GED Training Program is operated throughout the Corona-Norco & Eastvale area in partnership with the CNUSD Adult Education Program, City of Corona, CDBG Fund and individual donations like yours. The GED Training Program strives to:
Address more than 15.3% of the population in the Corona-Norco United Way service area without a high school diploma.
Develop a Plan of Action for the student immediate academic goals.
Provide students with scholarships and additional tools to obtain a higher education.
The GED Training Program serves individuals who:
Live within the Corona-Norco United Way service area (Corona, Norco, Eastvale, and surrounding unincorporated areas).
Do not have a high school diploma.
Need financial assistance to pay for final tests.
The GED Training Program is FREE OF CHARGE.
