Corona-Norco United Way
- United Way Benefits from Two Small Members of the Community!
Brothers Tyler Chang, 5, and Eric Brandon Chang, 6, seem like your ordinary elementary school students at VanderMolen Elementary.  They attend school, have great friends and are dedicated students...who of course at 5 & 6 look forward to recess!  However, Tyler & Eric Brandon have proven that they are not your typical ordinary elementary school student.  When most kids their age are asking for the latest toy, Tyler and Eric Brandon were asking for donations!  Tyler and Eric Brandon wanted to find a way to make a difference in their community and with the help of their parents settled on Corona-Norco United Way as their project.  They set out asking friends and family to donate.  Inspired, those friends and family asked co-workers to contribute.  What an uplifting day it was when Tyler and Eric Brandon came to our United Way office to present us with a check for $300.00!  What an inspiration!  Sure they could have said "We're too young to make a difference" or "I'd rather go out and play" but they didn't.  Because of their efforts and their unselfishness, Corona-Norco United Way will be able to continue our efforts in the community.  Thank you to Eric and Martha Chang for supporting and encouraging your children at such an early age to give of themselves.  Thank you to VanderMolen Elementary for placing an emphasis on volunteering and giving.  Most of all....Thank you Tyler and Eric Brandon for showing us that we all can make a difference!
